What will I receive as part of the Money Mizer franchise system?
You and one key staff member will have up to four weeks of classroom training plus three weeks on in-store training at our corporate locations. You will also receive pre-opening help at your own location for up to two weeks. You will have access to all Money Mizer trademarks and our exclusive operations tools and business systems. Plus, we will provide you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business effectively.
What type of prior experience do I need to have?
Business management or retail experience is helpful, and networking and customer service skills are also important. You may want to consider taking gemology courses to familiarize yourself with assessing the value on jewelry items. But no matter what your background is, we will provide the tools and training you need to run your own Money Mizer business. We do, of course, expect that you have the right amount of capital to invest in the franchise.
How much will the Money Mizer franchise cost me?
Money Mizer offers numerous business models to fit your financial budget. You can expect your estimated required investment to range from about $300,000 up to $1,000,000 depending on the model you choose.
Are there ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?
Franchisees will be required to pay royalties of 5% of gross sales of retail items, and 2% on interest income from pawn loans. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of new products, procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and system upgrades.
Are there any advertising fees?
Franchisees will be required to spend a minimum of $10,000 per year on local marketing for the first year, and 2% of gross sales thereafter. Franchisees also contribute 2% of gross revenues toward a system marketing fund. These funds are used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Money Mizer brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials.
Is financing available?
No, we do not offer financing to franchisees. However, we may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending agencies on a case-by-case basis.
What is the term of the franchise agreement?
The initial term of your Money Mizer franchise agreement is ten years, with subsequent five-year renewal terms.
